Felicitation Ceremony

I am happy to inform you that the Felicitation Ceremony of All Island Champions took place on Friday 21st of October in a well organized and colourful manner. Hon. Governor Gen. G.A. Sandrasiri was the Chief Guest. It was the first occasion a governor visited the school in the history of St. Antony's College. He visited the school and promised to support our development plans. He immediately ordered the extension work of the playground to make it 400m track and the construction of the deviation road of the Oluvil Road to the respective authorities. I hope this will be a good start for a bright future. I will send the photos within two days.

ஊர்காவற்றுறை சென்.அன்ரனிஸ் தேசிய ரீதியில் முதலிடம்

இலங்கைப் பாடசாலைகளுக்கு இடையே கல்வி அமைச்சு நடத்திய தேசிய மட்ட உடற்பயிற்சிப் போட்டியில் ஆண்கள் பிரிவில் ஊர்காவற்றுறை சென்.அன்ரனிஸ் கல்லூரி முதலிடம் பெற்றுச் சாதனை படைத்துள்ளது.

இரண்டாம் இடத்தை உடுமுல்ல மகா வித்தியாலயமும், மூன்றாம் இடத்தை நகர வெல்ல மத்திய மகா வித்தியா லயமும் பெற்றுக் கொண்டன.இந்தப் போட்டி நேற்று பதுளை சறாலி வெல நகரசபை மைதானத்தில் நடைபெற்றது.

ஊர்காவற்றுறை புனித அந்தோனியார் கல்லூரி 2007 ஆம் ஆண்டு நடைபெற்ற தேசிய மட்ட உடற்கல்விப் போட்டியில் முதலாம் இடத்தையும் 2008 ஆம் ஆண்டு நடைபெற்ற தேசிய மட்டப் போட்டியில் மூன்றாம் இடத்தையும் 2009ஆம், 2010ஆம் ஆண்டுகளில் நடபெற்ற தேசிய மட்டப் போட்டிகளில் இரண்டாம் இடத்தைப் பெற்றுக்கொண்டமை குறிப்பி டத்தக்கது.

The Rector's Message to all Anthonians abroad:

Dear Antonians,

I am happy and proud to announce that St. Antony's College Kayts Physical Training Team (PT) has won the All Island National Championship 2011, on Saturday 10th of September at Badulla. This is our second achievement within four years.

2008 National Champion, 2009 Second Runner Up and 2010 First Runner Up.

I thank you for your continuous support and prayers.

A Welcome Ceremony for the Team is scheduled to be held on Monday 12th in Jaffna Town and at Kayts.

A Felicitation Function will be held in the College towards the end of September.

Your contributions towards the hard work and perseverance of the children are very much appreciated.
